This project involved processes and methodologies related to form-making, both static and in motion. The piece of instrumental music that I chose is "Butterfly" by Delicate Steve. The song evokes feelings of action, aimlessness, and freshness – with these themes in mind, I created a set of visual images that explored various ways of making. I then took this initial set of images and combined them to create a set of visual hybrids that were thematically based on my musical selection.
The second dimension of this project was a 30-second animation using After Effects. Using a 30 second segment from the original piece of music as a soundtrack to the images I created, the animation incorporates type and image in motion as a music video for the song.
